Here's what I know so far
Al gore is speaking (and is generally awesome)
Shawn johnson will say pledge of allegiance (no somersaulting)
John legend will perform w black eyed peas (no fergie ferg)
Stevie wonder will sing sign sealed delivered (fuck yeah!)
Sheryl crow will sing change will do (us) good (she does not look 42)
Doors just opened....more to come

rocky mountain high.
im a savvy if disorganized traveler. im usually only really focused on getting it right when i go further than 600 miles of my apartment.
im going further tomorrow, to go ol' colorado. man i love that place. god's country. can't wait to get there and more importantly, join the fray. i'm the 3 generation to attend on my mother's side.
something i was taught very young was to always carry a folder. mom is and grandmother was big on travel folders equipped with maps, phone #s, addresses, back up documentation, all in clear plastic folders with dividers. tabs, label makers involved. back up business cards...but i grew tired post-9/11 they just rip your crap apart. so ill be more dysfunctional than they are. but not this trip. i am so prepared.
in just a few shorts hours this trip ushers in a new era of hope, change and renewal.
not just for me, but the entire nation-whether you want it or not.
so thank you, summer.
